Another Forever

It was burning again. Just like when she had gotten it. She blinked back sudden tears as the pain washed over her again. She lifted her left hand up and looked at the scar on the palm. When she'd sliced it open jumping off the old building she hadn't thought anything of it. Later on, after she'd been lectured by the nun that ran the orphanage, the thing had started to burn. She'd torn off the bandages to reveal a cleanly healed flame shaped scar out lined faintly in red. She shook the thoughts out of her head and looked out of the window at the snow falling to the ground. It had been snowing for so long. What did rain feel like? What is rain? What is the sun? What is warmth? The snow was always coming down and it never stopped, just like in the old Earth book about the world in the wardrobe. Whatever a wardrobe was.

The scar was being incredibly annoying for an inanimate object. She opened the window and stuck the hand out, trying to sooth the burning in the scar. The snow turned to rain almost immediately, the air grew warmer. Spring had come back at last. The world was crying in happiness. The pain was gone, so was the scar. It would come back, of that she was sure. It just needed time. The demon smiled as she thought that slowly closing the window, curling up into a corner covered with a blanket, and submerging herself in the darkness once more.

To be continued...

The Creation of Loomania

There is a beautiful city in the dead center of the Elven lands, and its name is Loomania. Elves have come from all across their lands to see the glittering white city. But I don't believe that you have come tonight just to hear me sing praises of the great city. No, you came to hear the tale of its name, and the story behind the ruins.

It was named after Loomis, who was a direct blood relation of the Emperor of Grønn-Heiling, but who had turned to be a follower of the Goddess Schön. Later, after many years of trials, she became the Avatar of Schön. The Emperor had died by this time, giving over his power to his last remaining relation, Loomis; all the others had died of warfare, old age, or poison.

Loomis asked Schön if she should take the throne. Schön was reluctant to support this, until Loomis pointed out that more people would join Her worship if she ruled the people of Grønn-Heiling.
After many years, great numbers of people joined to worship Schön.

Loomis was now called Loomania by the people, which roughly meant "Beautiful Snow" in their language. Schön had became jealous of her great popularity and killed Loomania. The people everywhere mourned Loomania's death; they named their great city after her for two reasons: the first, to insure that Loomania's memory would live forever in their sparkling white city, and the second, to spite the murderer who had killed their much beloved leader.
